Be Amazed At The Opportunities, New Technologies And Advantages On The Internet.
Although my main field of expertise is the Automobile Industry I have always been on the lookout for new experiences found on the internet. I have found new ways of advertising, promoting and getting my business "out there". I have found new products, markets, internet inventions and some people bordering on Genius. It never ceases to amaze me on a daily basis. I amaze some of my friends when I tell them of some of the discoveries I have made online. The fact that you can have an automated cartoon type character with a facial similarity to the website owner, singing the business praises in the owners voice blew my mind. The fact that you can call just about any phone on the planet for next to no cost is also one of the technologies I am grateful for. It has opening up a whole new world to me on a daily basis. Since retiring I have been looking at ways and methods of starting a new type of business to which I am not familiar with. Such things as MLM, Affiliate Marketing, Drop Shipping and Boot Camps are all new to me. I have bought courses, ebooks, information and all sorts of products in my quest for something I can get my mind around to se up a new business. But beware there are some unscrupulous people out there among the genuine gems. I have wasted some of my hard earned money on some items but overall I feel I gain a little more insight into the knowledge I need as I go along. I call this "Failing Forward" as I become more internet savvy. I now know some of the best ways to(1) open a website(2) write an advertisement that will attract customers to a website(3)The correct words to use to be prominent on search engines (4)To be able to test the performance of my ads by writing variations and comparing the results. I have paid $3500 for a website for one of my "bricks & mortar" businesses which I have now sold. I also paid $200 for my towing business website. I advertised the cheaper website using a "pay per click advertising" method that targeted customers within a thirty kilometer radius of the business and got amazing results. I have since come across websites from $50 to no cost whatsoever. AMAZING.
I now have just established a new website that I think may be the start of a whole new advertising/selling career for me and I will always be looking for the next opportunity that may come my way. Keep looking for those gems like I am.
