Top 2 Ways To Get Traffic To Your Website

Having a website is one thing, but promoting it is another.. It's a bit like getting a road sign made for your business. You either create it yourself or hire someone to create it for you, and then what? You have to figure out how and where to put that sign so that it will get noticed and attract customers. Do you put your road sign out on a highway with high traffic, or do you put it in the middle of the desert where no-one can find it or even know it exists?

Putting your website on the internet is similar. You can have the best website that you know will convert to sales, but only, and only if you can drive traffic to your website. There are a couple of ways to do this. I have included the 2 most effective ways to do this within this article.

**1. Run An Advertising Campaign With Google

Set up an account with google. That part of it costs you nothing. You then need to design your ad, set a daily budget and away you go. Google is the largest and most popular search engine. You are guaranteed to get lots of traffic to your site using this method. If your website is converting well, this may be the most suitable method for your business. You have control at all times as to how much you spend on your advertising and can change your budget or cancel your ads at any time.

**2. Submit your website to as many directories online as possible.

Some directories are free and some charge a small fee. If you are not sure where to find these directories, go to google search and type in "business directories'. Directories where you pay a small fee usually list your business quickly, where as some free directories may take up to a couple of months before your listing is added. Using this method not only puts your business in appropriate categories, but also gives your website "backlinks" which is very important in the eyes of google, and may help boost your websites ranking within the search engine.

The choices you make I guess will depend on whether you have or even want to spend funds on this project. However the success of your website without a doubt depends on the amount of traffic you can get to it.
